Flower production update

My end of month guided YouTube garden tours are a pretty good record of how everything has evolved over the year.  But since my last diary update, the narcissi and tulips have been planted, ranunculus and anemones are growing on in modules after pre-sprouting and although masses of cutting and clearing has already been done, there is still masses to do. Thankfully I now have my very own “Mighty Mac”  which chomps up several dumpy bags of stalks and weeds into just a few trugs.  This significantly reduces the  time it takes to biodegrade into scrummy black compost which in turn gets recycled to enrich the soil.

Hardy annuals such as cornflower, clary sage, ammi, larkspur, malope, cynoglossum and nigella are growing nicely in pots and some have been planted out.  Fortunately, I have plenty reserved as insurance against disasters and also to give away to the Seed to Vase attendees due to start in early February. (Talking of which, there are a couple of places left on both the Tuesday and Sunday sessions.  I am extending the deadline for early bird bookings from Dec ast until **** to you lovely people - just use **** to get 10% off at checkout.
